Common questions

What areas do you serve?

We are based in Mahomet, Illinois and serve individuals and businesses across Central Illinois, including Champaign, Urbana, Savoy, St. Joseph, Rantoul, Fisher, Monticello, Farmer City, Gibson City, Paxton, Tuscola, Bloomington, Normal, Decatur, and Danville. We also provide reliable shipping across the United States.

Do you powder coat wheels?

Yes. Wheels are a big part of what we do. We offer a vehicle drop off service: schedule an appointment, drop your vehicle off, and pick it up in a couple days with an all new look. We pull the wheels, strip them, sandblast them, powder coat them, and put them back on. We also do 2 tone wheels and can coat center caps and lug nuts to match.

Can you powder coat chrome wheels?

No. We don't do anything with chrome plated wheels. The only way to guarantee proper adhesion is to remove all the chrome, which means sending the wheels to a chrome shop or a lot of sandblasting. Both are usually cost prohibitive, and heavy sandblasting risks damaging the wheels. Any finish other than chrome our chemical stripper can remove in a matter of minutes.

What else can you powder coat?

Car and motorcycle parts, railings, patio furniture, benches, signs, tools, and most other metal pieces. Everything we cut and fabricate is powder coated in house too. We have done single colors, 2 tone work, and pieces with 10 different colors.

Can you match a color?

Yes. We have matched wheels to a truck's factory paint color and to a vehicle wrap, including the center caps.

How do you restore old metal furniture and railings?

These projects all get sandblasted, weld repair where it is needed, a powder coat epoxy primer, and a powder coat top coat. We restore old metal chairs, patio sets, railings, benches, and cast iron pieces.

Do you make custom metal signs?

Yes. We design and cut custom metal signs on our CNC plasma table: address signs, family name signs, farm signs, business signs, building signs, awards, trophies, and plaques. We send over scale drawings so you can see the proportions before anything is cut. Signs can be layered, powder coated in multiple colors, and backlit.

Do you do welding repairs?

Yes. We do welding repair on trailers, dump trucks, mowers, and other equipment, and we build heavy duty replacement parts like trailer gates.

Do you build and install railings?

Yes. We design, fabricate, and powder coat railings in house for porches, stairs, and steps, and we install them.

What kind of custom fabrication do you do?

Light box signs, fire pits, railings, stair risers, yard art, brackets, flag poles, competition equipment, and one-off builds. We can work from your idea or from blueprints you provide. We draw up the parts on the computer, put the CNC plasma cutter and welder to work, and bring it all together in the shop.
